Top Gear Night

Click here for the original articleSo the BBC has decided to give fans of Top Gear a lovely Christmas present in exchange for having stolen tonight's (December 16th) slot for the purpose of broadcasting a Snooker match.

Next Sunday night will be Top Gear night. No, there won't be a 3 hour long episode of Top Gear or 3 back to back brand spanking new episodes either. Instead we get the next best thing, 3 Top Gear related episodes. Here's the schedule:

James May: My Sister's Top Toys, 7pm, BBC Two
James May talking about Girl's toys that he played with as a result of being the male child sandwiched between an older and younger sister.

Top Gear, 8pm, BBC Two
The perfect ending to a weekend.

Richard Hammond Meets Evel Knievel, 9pm, BBC Two
Richard's 4 day stay with the stunt legend during the summer of 2007

(All times are GMT)

As a special bonus, the feature for the episode will be a 3-way shootout between the new BMW M3, Mercedes Benz C63 & the Audi RS4!

As an extra special bonus for all your Doctor Who fans out there, the Doctor himself will be making an appearance* (under his assumed name David Tennant of course), as the star in a reasonably priced car. In his last avatar as Christopher Eccleston the Doctor appeared to make it around the track in the Suzuki Liana in 1.52.4

I wonder how much better he will do this time around.

Hopefully all 3 episodes will show up online in a timely manner.

* pun intended

Spirited Driving

The weekend is almost upon us and lo and behold one of the members of the DC Metro MINIs posted a resource on the forums for finding some twisty roads.

It's called MotorcycleRoads.us. Roads are organized by state and regions within the state.

Get in your car and discover a new road with some great twisties close to where you are.

Enjoy the weekend!
