I was checking out CNN's frontpage & I noticed a link to TIME.com titled "The 50 Worst Cars of All Time". I usually tend not to read any automotive stuff on CNN, but my curiousity got the better of me.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Ford Edsel, Time commissioned Dan Neil, Pulitzer prize winning automobile journalist from the Los Angeles Times to rate the 50 worst cars of all time.
Dan Neil is known for using obscure analogies in his pieces and he uses some great ones during the course of this 105 year (1899-2004) journey through automotive. His 2004 Pulitzer Prize was incidently for Criticism! He even goes as far as critiquing a car that he owns, an MG MGA.
Here's a complete list of all 50 cars if you don't want to go through the whole slide show.
For further reading here is a list of stories that were submitted for his 2004 Pulitzer Prize for Criticism.
